What this is

The Footnotes YouTube uploader is a private tool operated by Footnotes (footnotesdaily.com) that posts our daily history Shorts to our own YouTube channel via the YouTube Data API. It is not a public app: it has one user (the channel owner) and acts only on our channel.

Acceptable use

The uploader is used solely to publish Footnotes content to the Footnotes YouTube channel. It is not offered to third parties, and no one else may operate it or direct uploads through it.

YouTube's terms

Use of the YouTube API through this tool is subject to Google's and YouTube's own terms, including the YouTube Terms of Service and the Google API Services User Data Policy. If those terms and this page ever conflict on YouTube data handling, theirs govern.

No warranties

The uploader is provided as-is. We make no guarantees about uninterrupted operation — an upload can fail because of API quotas, revoked access, or network issues, and a failed upload simply doesn't publish.

Changes

If these terms change, the updated version will be posted at https://footnotesdaily.com/terms with a new effective date.
